us for a tour of Blackburn’s Historic Thwaites Empire Theatre as we try to
find out what goes on in this beautiful recently renovated theatre.
Many of the volunteer staff have heard and seen some very strange things
that they believe to be of a paranormal nature. This is your opportunity to
investigate for yourself.
You will get to tour and investigate the theatre's stage, as well as the beautiful auditorium, theatre bars, rehearsal room and even some areas where the general public don't get to see!
The original building was designed as a Cinema in 1910 and over the years it was also known as the Electric Light Theatre, the Barn, the Empire, the Red Brick and Thwaites Theatre. Between 1997 and 2002 volunteers raised £750,000 to lovingly restore the theatre, in October of that year it opened as Thwaites Empire Theatre.
