BLACKPOOL GHOST WALKS

The thrilling new experience from Supernatural Events

Blackpool’s award-winning Supernatural Events has added a new experience to its ghostly goings-ons for 2010 – BLACKPOOL GHOST WALKS. The spooky walk will take you to some of Blackpool’s most haunted locations where you will be told tales of unearthly events that will make you question everything you thought you believed in!

Blackpool Ghost Walks will commence this April with the first events taking place on Easter Saturday and Sunday evenings (3rd and 4th April); they will also take place during May Bank Holidays and then continue every Saturday and Sunday during Blackpool’s Summer Season! Private bookings can also be made for groups and societies.

Stephen Mercer, founder of Supernatural Events, said, “I am very pleased and excited to bring Blackpool Ghost Walks to the resort. Following discussions with visitBlackpool and Blackpool’s Town Centre Management, the Blackpool BID in 2009, the new walks will commence this year. I’m sure both residents of Blackpool and the Fylde Coast, and visitors to the town alike will enjoy them.”

“The new ghost walks will last one and half hours and begin on the promenade and wind its way around some of Blackpool’s most important heritage buildings and attractions with those in attendance hearing stories of the town’s haunted heritage.”

Natalie Wyatt, Head of visitBlackpool, added, “Blackpool Ghost Walks is a wonderful addition to Blackpool’s attractions. Supernatural Events already has an amazing series of successful spooky tours that take place in the town and the new ghost walks will definitely capture both visitors and residents’ imaginations. I’m sure they will be just as successful.”

If you can’t wait until April to hear some terrifying tales; Supernatural Events is running Ghost Tours and Investigations at some of Blackpool’s most famous and most haunted attractions including the Grand Theatre, Opera House, Blackpool Zoo, North Pier Theatre, Winter Gardens and Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks.

March sees three events taking place with a ghost tour on Monday 1st in the Spanish Hall Suite within the Winter Gardens complex, and two Overnight Investigations, the first at the Grand Theatre on Friday 12th and then the Opera House on Friday 26th. And that’s not all - The Ghost Coach takes to the road on Friday 9th April for an investigation into the infamous Morecambe Winter Gardens!

Further information on Supernatural Events’ ghostly tours, walks and investigations is available online at www.supernaturalevents.co.uk, where you can also book tickets. Bookings can also be made via the Grand Theatre’s Box Office on 01253 290190 or visitBlackpool’s Tourist Information Centre on Clifton Street in the town centre or you can call them on 01253 478222.  The TIC can also source accommodation if spooky visitors would like to make a short break of it.
