SUPERNATURAL SUCCESS STORY FOR            BLACKPOOL-BASED SUPERNATURAL EVENTS!

Supernatural Events wins Blackpool Business in Excellence Award

ReBlackpool sponsored the Marketing & Innovation Award.It was a Supernatural Success Story at the Blackpool Tourism Business in Excellence Awards held recently at Pleasure Beach Blackpool when Supernatural Events scooped the Marketing & Innovation Award for 2008.

Based in Blackpool, Supernatural Events presents amazing experiences including paranormal tours and investigations, clairvoyant evenings, talks and other special events. Originally set up on Hallowe'en 2006 by Blackpool Grand Theatre marketing manager Stephen Mercer for a one-off Ghost Tour at the beautiful Victorian theatre, the tours became so popular that Supernatural Events continued to provide tours there for another year; then more locations were added to its portfolio including Blackpool Opera House, the Winter Gardens complex, Blackpool Zoo, North Pier Theatre and Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks with special tours also held at Blackpool Tower and Pleasure Beach Blackpool.

Supernatural Events has also presented many special events including the exclusive An Audience with Derek Acorah, What is a Ghost? with Richard Felix of Most Haunted fame, Clairvoyant Evenings, Hallowe'en on Pendle Hill, Coach Trips to Derby Gaol, Lancaster Castle and Samlesbury Hall, and Overnight Ghost Walks with psychic medium Ian Lawman of television’s Living With The Dead, Most Haunted and I’m Famous and Frightened.

Supernatural Events’ founder Stephen Mercer said, “This is amazing. There are so many attractions in Blackpool and to win the Marketing and Innovation Award is wonderful. The events are so well supported, not just in the resort of Blackpool, but also throughout the country. Thank you to everyone who supports Supernatural Events by attending the events; the management and staff at the various venues where Grand Ghost Tours are held; and to the management and staff of the Grand Theatre, Blackpool, who have supported Supernatural Events since it was formed.

Supernatural Events has also been involved in a number of television shows highlighting the paranormal including Derek Acorah’s Ghost Towns, Living with the Dead, Haunted… and most recently an episode of Spook School where the team from the show investigate the spiritual home of Supernatural Events, Blackpool Grand Theatre as well as the North Pier Theatre; which is to be broadcast on the Paranormal channel on Tuesday, 12th May at 9pm.

Friday 25th – Grand Ghost Coach Trip to Derby (includes tours of Derby Gaol and Friargate area of the City, visiting two haunted pubs, supper in the haunted Mr Grundy's Tavern and time to investigate the cellar and bedrooms at the Georgian House Hotel).
Monday 28th – Blackpool Opera House Ghost Tour, 10pm to 12 midnight.
