GRAND THEATRE and NORTH PIER THEATRE FEATURE ON TELEVISION SHOW
BLACKPOOL’S GRAND THEATRE AND NORTH PIER THEATRE WILL BE FEATURED ON THE PARANORMAL CHANNEL’S SPOOK SCHOOL SERIES ON TUESDAY (12th MAY)
The Paranormal Channel’s hit television show Spook School brought their film crews to Blackpool’s Grand Theatre and North Pier Theatre in January to record a special Blackpool episode which will be broadcast on Tuesday, 12th May at 9pm.
Spook School follows the adventures of paranormal investigation team Para-Projects, led by Mark Rosney, Rob Bethell and Jebby Robinson, as they tour the North West’s haunted hot spots. Mark contacted Stephen Mercer who runs the Blackpool-based Supernatural Events which organises ghost tours and investigations throughout the area, to ask if they could film at some of the locations in the town.
Stephen said, “I had just finished filming for an episode on haunted theatres for a new series on The Paranormal Channel called Haunted… when I got a call from Mark and the production team of Spook School asking if they could come and film in the town at two locations where I organise ghost tours and investigations. I was intrigued by this show because unlike other shows highlighting the paranormal, the team from Para Projects investigate using scientific methods to try and explain some of the strange activities that people may have experienced. So I invited them to both the Grand and North Pier theatres.”
What can we expect to find out from their investigations? “We’ll have to wait and see,” said Stephen. “Although Spook School held a talk in the Grand Theatre’s Studio to present some of their findings from their investigations, which will also be seen in the programme, they had a lot of film and sounds still to examine. Some very bizarre things happened to them when they were at both venues. Hopefully they will have been caught on camera for the show.”
Spook School’s Blackpool episode is broadcast on The Paranormal Channel (Sky 201) on Tuesday 12th May (repeated on Sunday 17th May) at 9pm.
